To: NEQM Supporting Guilds:

IMAGES/Lowell Quilt Festival and the New England Quilt Museum are issuing the First Annual Challenge to the museum's Supporting Guilds. Challenge quilts will be displayed in a special exhibit at Images 2010 and then be donated for a fund raiser to benefit the museum. We invite each guild to participate in this challenge "From Lobstah to Green Monstah" - What's Best About New England.

One (1) quilt may be submitted by each NEQM Supporting Guild, made either by multiple guild members or one person representing the entire guild. This is your chance to help the New England Quilt Museum and to show your guild's talent by entering a quilt that will be on display during Images 2010. Lowell Quilt Festival is pleased to provide FREE RAFFLE SPACE to NEQM supporting guilds at Images 2010, part of the Lowell Quilt Festival in Lowell, MA, August 12-14, 2010. Member guilds are invited to display a raffle quilt and sell raffle tickets at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, the show venue for Images Quilt Show. If your guild is interested in reserving a space, please return the enclosed form no later than June 1, 2010. Space is allocated on a first come, first served basis. The forms are attached and should be returned no later than June 1, 2010 .

A message from Ricky Tims

Hey everybody! I'm very excited about the opportunity to bring the Ricky Tims Super Quilt Seminar to the Cape Code region. I can promise you that this educational event for quilters is nothing like any other quilting experience. You can expect to come away with more ideas and techniques than you can imagine. There is no sewing, no supply list, and no UFOs to take home. Everyone attends all sessions - there is nothing to pick and choose. Expect to leave the seminar with renewed confidence and enthusiasm.

Over the two and a half days of the seminar you will learn lessons suited for experienced quilters, novice quilters, traditional quilters and contemporary quilters. You will learn simple, efficient techniques and explore the principles for successful original designs. If that were not enough, the seminar is loaded with projects that will allow you to try the various techniques when you get back to your sewing studio. Prepare to have your head spinning with excitement.

Joining me for the seminar are celebrated quilt teachers Alex Anderson and Libby Lehman. Their sessions are enlightening and insightful and we all do our best to keep you laughing and entertained while bringing you the best we have to offer.
